Born in 1941, Teo Teck Soon is a Singapore based artist specialising in Chinese calligraphy and ink painting. He enjoys exploring poetry and literature. His literary works reveals the author’s emotionally attuned journey with his art practice. He is adept at using simple language to describe the philosophy of life, ecological nature, art, environmental protection, and humanistic feelings. Life, as he sees it, is like a long novel, a path of practice.

Teo’s artistic style spans from flowers and birds to landscapes, architecture, environmental themes, and imagination, each step being a unique journey. His architectural and landscape paintings often symbolises harmony between people and nations.

Teo’s works are appreciated for their conceptual depth and are collected by several organisations, and  has won the distinguished Gold Award from the  Lim Tze Peng Art Competition four times.
